The Broward Sheriff’s Office proudly welcomed firefighters, paramedics and EMTs from Belgium as part of our International Exchange Program.

Throughout the week, our guests experienced firsthand what it means to serve as a member of the nation’s third-largest public safety organization.

Their visit included an exclusive tour of our state-of-the-art Research, Development and Training Center (R.D.T.C.), Air Rescue Aviation Unit and Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) or dispatch center, where they gained valuable insight into BSO’s innovative fire rescue operations.

In addition to the tours, our guests participated in specialized training with our Marine Rescue Unit, learned about airboats, and gained knowledge about life-saving programs, including our Whole Blood initiative. All before joining our teams in the field to respond to real emergencies, experiencing firsthand the dedication and expertise that define BSO’s commitment to public safety.

These global partnerships reflect our shared commitment to innovation, professionalism and strengthening public safety networks across borders.

Thank you to our Belgian partners for your dedication, collaboration and friendship. Together, we are building bridges across continents and advancing public safety for all.🇧🇪🤝🇺🇸
